Let costume details carry the theme

Choose photographs where costumes are recognizable without an explanation. A full outfit, a face or mask, and one scene from the evening usually tell more than several dark group shots. The deep background keeps the framing restrained; pumpkins, bats and other graphics are not added by the editor.

Use a tall costume portrait in a tall masonry cell and a close-up of its handmade detail in a smaller one. Reorder the photos before zooming. The base masonry pattern has six cells; larger collections use an adaptive grid instead of preserving that exact asymmetry.

Choose photos that work together

Review low-light photos at their original size. Enlarging a blurred face will not recover detail, even at the largest export setting. Favor photographs with a clear subject and leave some room around hats, wings and props. Fit whole photo is useful for a costume that would otherwise lose its edges inside a narrow cell.

Check the finished image before sharing

Inspect the final collage against the dark background: a black outfit can blend into it, so try a lighter solid color or a little more spacing. Download a still PNG, JPEG or WebP image. Add any event title, date or animated effects in a separate application, and review a smaller preview before sharing.

Review the costume at the edges

A hat, wing or prop can explain a costume as much as the face does. Check those details in the downloaded image, especially in narrow cells. Where filling trims too much, choose whole-photo fitting and let the background surround the source. It is better to show the entire costume with a little empty space than to lose the detail that makes it recognizable.
