Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Photo To Collage, operated by Photo To Collage, handles information when you use our browser-based photo collage maker. We built Photo To Collage with privacy at its core — your photos are processed entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

Effective date: July 20, 2026

Your photos stay on your device

When you select photos in the Photo To Collage editor, they are decoded, arranged, edited, and exported entirely within your web browser using standard browser APIs such as Canvas, File, Blob, and object URLs. At no point during this process are your photos — or any data derived from them — transmitted to a Photo To Collage server or any third-party service.

This means your personal photos, family images, and creative projects remain completely under your control. We cannot see, access, or recover the photos you work with in the editor.

Information we do not collect

Photo To Collage is designed to operate without collecting personal information. Specifically, we do not:

  • Require you to create an account or sign in
  • Upload, transmit, or store your photos on any server
  • Record your file names, image metadata, or EXIF data
  • Use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or device identification within the editor
  • Collect payment information (the service is free)
  • Place your photos or their derivatives in URLs, cookies, or local storage

Temporary browser resources

The editor creates temporary object URLs so your browser can display the photos you have selected. These are short-lived references held in browser memory — they are not stored persistently. Object URLs are revoked automatically when photos are removed from the editor, the project is reset, or you close or navigate away from the editor tab.

Canvas elements are used to render your collage preview and to generate the final exported image. This processing occurs in your browser's rendering engine and does not involve any network communication.

Hosting and server logs

Photo To Collage is served as a static website. Our hosting provider may automatically process standard request information to deliver and protect the site. This may include:

  • Your IP address
  • Browser type and version (user agent string)
  • The pages you request and their timestamps
  • Referring URL

These hosting logs are generated by the web server infrastructure, not by the collage editor. They do not contain your selected photo files, image data, or any content you create in the editor.

Cookies and local storage

The collage editor does not require account or session cookies to process photos. Website analytics, when enabled, is separate from image processing and is described below and in the Cookie Policy.

The current version of the editor does not persist your source photos, collage projects, or preferences in local storage, session storage, or IndexedDB. When you close the browser tab, your editing session is cleared from memory.

For more detailed information about cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.

Analytics

The current deployment does not load Google Analytics or another browser analytics script. If analytics is enabled in the future, it must remain separate from the editor and must never receive photo files, filenames, EXIF data, or collage contents.

Third-party services

Photo To Collage self-hosts its interface fonts through the website build, so your browser does not request Google Fonts directly. The editor does not integrate third-party image processing, storage, advertising, or social-widget services.

Children's privacy

Photo To Collageis not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the service does not require account creation and does not collect personal data, there is no mechanism through which a child's information would be stored by us.

Your choices and data control

Because your photos are processed locally and not stored on our servers, you have complete control over your data at all times:

  • End your session: Close or refresh the browser tab to immediately clear all photo data from memory.
  • Remove individual photos: Use the editor controls to remove any photo from your collage at any time.
  • Manage downloaded files:Exported collage files are saved to your device through your browser's download function. You manage these files like any other file on your computer.
  • Control cookies:Adjust your browser's cookie settings to manage or block cookies from any website.

Downloaded images and support messages

A downloaded collage is a file on your device. Deleting a browser tab does not delete that download. If you share the image through another website or application, that destination handles its own copy.

Email sent to our contact address is separate from local editing. Your message includes the information you choose to send, so do not attach personal photos for troubleshooting. We cannot recover an editing session from a closed browser tab.

Data retention

The editor does not retain your selected photos in a server-side project library. Hosting logs maintained by our infrastructure provider are subject to that provider's retention policies. Contact correspondence and any enabled analytics are separate from the local photo session.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
