Cookie policy
This cookie policy explains how Photo To Collage, operated by Photo To Collage, uses cookies and similar technologies. We are committed to transparency about the technologies we use and your choices in managing them.
Effective date: October 7, 2026
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) through your web browser. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide functionality, remember preferences, and gather usage information. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB — all of which allow websites to store data in your browser.
How Photo To Collage uses cookies
The collage editor does not need authentication cookies because there are no user accounts. Selected photos are processed in browser memory. The website uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits.
Essential and technical cookies
Hosting infrastructure may use technical cookies for traffic management or site delivery. Their behavior depends on the hosting provider and deployment settings. The editor does not use these cookies to store selected photos or collage contents. Hosting request logs are separate from the local editing session.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which store a random identifier used to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google documents these cookies and their lifetimes at support.google.com/analytics/answer/11397207.
Google documents a default expiration of two years for these cookies. Browser limits and Google Analytics property settings can shorten or change that duration. Cookie expiration is separate from the retention of information already sent to Google.
On production pages the Google tag starts automatically, including on pages containing the collage editor. There is currently no cookie consent banner or in-site analytics preference control. Analytics cookies measure website use; they are not required to create or download a collage.
The editor does not send your photo data, filenames, EXIF metadata or collage contents to an analytics service. You can block or delete these cookies with the browser settings below, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Removing or blocking cookies alone does not necessarily stop Google Analytics requests. To prevent measurement, block the Google Analytics script or use Google's opt-out add-on in a supported browser. These choices do not disable local photo editing.
Advertising cookies
Photo To Collage does not display advertisements and does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. There are no ad networks, retargeting tools, or programmatic advertising integrations on this site.
Third-party cookies
Photo To Collage self-hosts its interface fonts through the website build. Other than Google Analytics, described above, it does not embed social media widgets, share buttons, comment systems, ad networks, retargeting tools, or programmatic advertising integrations.
Local storage and session storage
The Photo To Collage editor creates temporary object URLs (blob references) in browser memory so that your selected photos can be displayed in the editor interface. These are not cookies and are not stored persistently — they exist only in active memory while the editor tab is open.
The application does not use local storage, session storage or IndexedDB to persist photos, collage projects or editor preferences. Closing or refreshing the tab ends the editing session. The application releases its references; the browser controls memory reclamation.
Cookies are not saved collage projects
Clearing cookies does not retrieve or recreate a collage. Download the finished image before closing the editing tab, and keep the original photo files when you may need another version. A downloaded file is managed through your device, separately from browser cookie settings.
Your cookie choices
You have full control over cookies on your device. Most modern browsers provide settings to:
- View and delete existing cookies
- Block all cookies or only third-party cookies
- Set preferences for specific websites
- Receive notifications when cookies are being set
Since Photo To Collage does not rely on cookies for its core functionality, blocking cookies, including analytics cookies, should not affect your ability to use the collage editor.
You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser's settings. For instructions on managing cookies in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, Search, and Services → Cookies and Site Data
