Let photo count choose the starting geometry

Auto chooses an arrangement from the number of photographs. Add or remove a photo to see the composition update; select a named layout when you want a fixed structure instead.

Use Auto for a recap when you have not decided how many photographs to include.

This layout is built for 1 to 20 photos. It works best for fast starts, mixed photo counts, simple recaps, where the viewer needs to understand the relationship between the images quickly.

How to use this layout

  1. Add JPG, PNG or WebP photographs to the editor above. The layout are already selected.
  2. Arrange your photographs in the desired order, then adjust each crop and focal position.
  3. Check the canvas ratio, spacing and background. Adding more photos than a fixed layout holds changes it to an adaptive grid.
  4. Choose PNG, JPEG or WebP, review the export dimensions, and download your collage.

Know when to leave Auto

Auto is useful while you are choosing which photographs belong in the collection. Add or remove a picture and inspect the new arrangement. It follows layout rules based on photo count rather than analyzing the meaning of your images.

Switch to a named layout when the composition needs a fixed lead image or a specific comparison. Auto cannot know that a particular portrait must be larger. The editor accepts up to 20 source images.

Try a styled template

A template combines a layout with an aspect ratio, background and spacing. Compare these options when you want a styled starting point.

Read the photo collage guide for crop and export advice.

Review the download before sharing

Open the downloaded image at the size it will be viewed. Check the smallest panel, the edges of faces and the space around the main subject. Export size cannot restore detail lost in a small source photograph or a heavy crop.

Standard, High and Print use 1600, 2400 and 3600 pixels on the longest edge. Save the result before closing the tab. The download is a flattened image, and the preset URL does not save your photos or editing history.
